With respect to their behaviour in water, classify the following molecules as weak or strong electrolytes and as strong acid, weak acid, strong base, weak base or salt: NaCl KOH H 2 O CH 3 COOH HNO 3 NH 3 KI NH 4 NO 3 H 2 CO 3 2. Assign oxidation numbers to each atom in the following: Na 3 N P 4 KMnO 4 HClO 4 HClO P 4 O 10 N 2 O NO NO 2 N 2 O 4 NO 2 - NO 3 - 3. Complete and balance the following reactions: write N.R. if no reaction occurs. For all reactions that yield products, classify the reactions as precipitation (PPT), oxidation-reduction (RED), acid-base (AB), or other . As well, for all of the redox reactions, select the oxidizing agent. a) Mg(s) + Br 2 (l) b) NaOH(aq) + H 2 SO 4 (aq) (complete reaction) c) H 2 S(aq) + Fe(NO 3 ) 2 (aq) d) KCl(s) + H 2 O(l) e) P 4 (s) + O 2 (g)(excess)
