Jeffrey P. Bezos is the founder of Amazon.com in 1994 and he obtained this idea from a dream that he had. Jeffrey P. Bezos had a visualization of creating an online bookstore, which could surpass all others in addition, revolutionizing the retail industry. Amazon started out as the Earth's leading bookstore, but has currently become Earth's biggest anything online store. Expansion and the rapidly changing of times have required Amazon to shift in numerous directions. The company’s chief idea was to offer millions of books, music, and movies, but ever since Amazon’s beginning, it has stretched its catalog and started to contain many product categories like auto parts, toys, electronics, home furnishings, apparel, health and beauty aids, prescription drugs, and groceries. Even though there are numerous of additional web-based retailers to compete with, Amazon.com has made known that it is a business, which can hold its own and move with the times. The soaring demand for advertising and marketing services is a vast commodity from corporations that put on the market consumer products, entertainment, financial services, technology, and telecommunications. Being that Amazon.com is the world's largest online retailer, and it is still the leader in sales among all of the other online retailers. That was the goal: to still be on top when it is all said and done. Amazon is the leader in this type of industry for the reason that they remain to keep things simple. Amazon makes certain that their consumers be familiar with the fact that there are no hidden requirements or dependencies. When troubles occur small teams of staff, with authority are in charge of resolving the issues to handle them. Amazon remembers that improvement comes from the foundation – individuals who are the closest to the predicament.

Data comes from many sources both internally and externally. Amazon decided to use some of its unused processing capabilities to increase their bottom line. They are providing services to companies to help them manage their data. Three of the services include Simple Storage Service, Elastic Compute Cloud, and the Mechanical Turk.
