S TUDY G UIDE : L ECTURE AND L AB E XAM II I consider the material for your second lab and lecture exams as a single unit. Therefore the exams will be combined into a single exam given in your lab period. Topics Covered Exam Microscope lab Molecular Genetics Lecture Biotechnology Lecture Viruses Lecture covered on same exam Mitosis Primarily in lab Meiosis Lecture and Lab Mendelian Genetics Lecture and Lab Evolution Lecture and Lab L OGISTICS Take Home Essay: the essay portion of your exam will be done as a take home essay. You will find the topic below. You will need to write it and submit it through www.turnitin.com . by S UNDAY , O CTOBER 17 TH BY 11 PM . You may use your textbook, notes but not other students. Turnitin.com will identify plagerism- either if you copied another student’s work or if you copied information from a web site or your textbook. In Lab : the multiple choice, short answer and lab exam questions will all be given during lab o ~30-40 multiple choice questions o Themes of Biology short answer question o Genetics problems: they will be exactly like those on the quiz given in lab.
