Name _____________________ Answer the following questions to develop a clear idea of (1) how you approach writing and (2) what areas you need to improve. 1. What are the last three things you wrote (excluding short notes) and who read them? 2. In general, how do you feel about writing? 3. Do you find it easy to write papers that say what you want them to say? In other words, is writing an efficient and effective process for you? Is your time in proportion to your intentions? 4. Roughly speaking, how many hours did you spend on the last two or three significant papers you wrote? Is this normal for you? 5. Do you generally try to write a paper in one sitting from the beginning? Or do you work on sections separately and at various times? 6. Do you often end up doing the actual writing of papers under pressure—under a tight time constraint? 7. When you think of writing a paper, what are the main things that come to mind?
