What verse did Wanda have in mind? The verse that Wanda most likely had in mind was 2 Corinthians 6:14. This verse states “ Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness” (NIV)? It clearly teaches that Christians and non-Christians should not be joined together in dependent partnerships. Some people believe that this verse only refers to marriage, but in many ways a business partnership is like a marriage Does this verse prohibit her from forming a partnership with her lost friend? Business partnerships may not always be intimate, but they are most assuredly dependent. The book defines a partnership as “two or more persons agree to place their money, efforts, labor, or skills in a business and to share the profits and losses” (Bagley & Savage, 2010, p.759).
