SCOPE OF WORK 5.1 Scope of work This specification covers the minimum requirements and design characteristics of Gas Turbine driven AC Generator for continuous operation. The power output of AC Generator shall be guaranteed 2.5 MW to 3.0 MW, 3-phase, 4-Wire, 6000-Volt AC, 50Hz on site/ ambient conditions. The scope of the Supplier shall include but not limited to the following, together with any additional equipment necessary for safe operation in application to form a complete Gas Turbine power generating set. 5.1.1 All design, engineering, procurement of new Gas Turbine AC power generator unit with all the associated equipment as specified or may not be specified in this specification but required for proper operation of the Gas Turbine driven AC Generator. The Supplier shall provide fully instrumented, piped and wired sets with all necessary auxiliary items so that the minimum effort is required at site to install and commission. The Gas Turbine with all its auxiliaries, including its unit local control panel, shall be mounted on a rigid base plate suitable for mounting on a flat concrete base. 5.1.2 For Waste Heat Recovery System, Supplier is responsible for the supply of new Waste Heat Recovery Unit complete with control system to achieve the operating modes (‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’) as described in specification 4908-PU-9050-0.

5.1.3 The Supplier shall provide the complete electric heat tracing required for the package and up to the fuel gas skid. The heat tracing system shall include power supply, control junction boxes, heat tracing cable etc. complete in all respects. 5.1.4 Neutral grounding resistor (NGR) panel shall be suitable for installation in the field near generator. 5.1.5 All the electric motors shall be totally enclosed type and Ex “d” flame proof type, IP 55. 5.1.6 The turbine and generator control systems shall be compatible to the existing systems in TB5000 Ruston gas turbine generators 2500 KW, 6000 volts ac, 50 Hz. 5.1.7 The Supplier shall provide PLC which will monitor and display all alarms and shutdown, auto start the engine, control the turbines and heat recovery system, fail safe type programming, with first out annunciation internal to PLC program. 5.1.8 The Supplier shall be fully responsible for the testing and commissioning of the new Gas Turbine driven AC Generator and all associated equipment, panels, piping, instruments etc. complete in all respects. The Supplier shall provide services for installation supervision, testing, commissioning and startup from its well-trained professional and experienced engineer(s). The Supplier shall submit with the

quotation, separate prices for this and also specify his estimated man power for installation supervision, testing and start-up commissioning. 5.1.9 The Supplier shall submit with the quotation comprehensive fully detailed schedules with separate prices for Two Years Operation Spares and Capital Spares.
