Strategy is ones objective or process, whether in business or everyday life in which you aim for to achieve and end result. For businesses, a strategy is very important because it provides the big picture for the company. When a company has a strategy, they are able to implement strategic management. According to Pearce & Robinson (2009), strategic management is the set of decisions and actions that result in the formulation and implementation of plans designed to achieve a company’s objectives. Without a strategic management how else will a company be able to organize, direct, plan and control the company’s game plan. The game plan, which is the company’s strategy, aids the company on decisions of when and against whom they should compete with and the plans of the business. The strategy of the company helps a company whether big or small to divide its decision-making
