Chemistry 222 Elementary Quantitative Analysis, the course description Fall 2010 Instructor: Professor Andrzej Wieckowski, 58 RAL, phone: 333-7943 andrzej@scs.uiuc.edu Office hours: Tuesdays 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Teaching Assistant: Hadi Tavassol tavasso2@illinois.edu Office hours (RAL 33): Wednesdays 3:00-4:00 p.m. Course Materials: The textbook "Quantitative Chemical Analysis” by D. C. Harris, 8 th edition is required for the course. The Harris textbook is available at the Illini Union Bookstore, Follett's and T.I.S. In addition to the above materials, a good scientific calculator is a necessity; the calculator must have log 10x, 10x, √, x2 and statistical functions and scientific notation to be useful in problem solving. Skills to use web and e-mail on a regular basis are expected. Reading Harris chapters is required. Lecture ppts will be provided on Compass. The exams will be constructed based upon lecture ppts. Your individual notes will also help your exam preparation and passing the course. Grading/examinations:
