Sean Thornton E3 Abstract Is there a correlation between the reactivity of the halogens (oxidizing agents) and the reactivity of the halides (reducing agents)? Produce a graph depicting the comparative reactivity using the class data (Part 2B). Corresponding to our discussion question, we came up with the conclusion that there is in fact, a correlation between the reactivity of the halogens and halides as demonstrated by experiment 3. The graph that we made to help answer this question listed every halogen (Cl 2 , Br 2 , and I 2 ) and what halides they reacted with (Cl-, Br-, or I-). Corresponding to the electronegativity for each halogen, we were able to predict the outcome of each reaction between the halogens and halides and illustrate a correlation as well between both. Since
