Kinetic Energy = mv^2 Gravitational Energy = -GmM/r Thermal Energy=mass*specific heat capacity *temperature change Law of conservation of energy also known as the first law of thermodynamics, states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. Power how fast energy is transferred from one form to another or one place to another. Units are in Watts (W). Depicts luminosity, or brightness of stars. Flux rate of energy transfer per unit time and per unit area. Units are in W/m^2. The power of the stars comes from the binding energy of the Strong Nuclear Force, the natural force that holds the nuclei of atoms together. This is a force of attraction between protons and neutrons in the nucleus. Nuclear fusion a process that combines, or fuses two nuclei into a more massive one and releases energy in the process.
