Econ 200 04/29/2007 Extra credit – Report on presentation of Global Warming and Greenhouse Effect The presentation carried out by the UW team, was about the background, causes and the impacts of the Greenhouse effect and the Global warming that are the most common issues happening in the world today. Global warming and greenhouse effect are both caused by us, the humans, in aid of the work of nature. This is because, since the time of the Industrial Revolution till now, humans have been releasing pollutants into the air at a large extent. This has led to more of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases that are released into the air which has caused the infrared energy that is supposed to be bounced out of the ozone layer to be trapped and emitted back to the earth, causing the average temperature level of the earth to get higher and higher. The impacts of the climbing temperature are destructive and costly. The following impacts mentioned are just a few of which were discussed in the presentation, and will be
