Summer 2010 End of Semester Cliffnotes Blue Man Group Our end of year social event this past aca- demic year provided many memorable moments for the thirty members of the Honors Program who attended. In lieu of a Red Sox game, we decided to catch a Fri- day evening performance of the Blue Man Group . Our seats were located dange- rously close to the stage: far enough away that we were not given ponchos and plastic sheets but well within striking distance of a well aimed paint splatter or banana mush. Speaking of banana mush, our very own (now alumna) Andrea Wullschleger was summoned onto the stage to enjoy a fancy dinner date with the Blue Men. If business does not pan out for Andrea, perhaps a career in the perfor- mance arts would be an acceptable substitute. Those members of the Pro- gram who attended also had the privilege of viewing the insides of Program Coordinator Alex Beach’s digestive tract, and watching Dean Procopio and UPO Director Norm Blanchard struggle under a mountain of falling toilet paper. (We apologize to those of you who have not seen Blue Man Group and think we are all insane) Senior Farewell Brunch During Senior Week, the Class of 2010 was treated to a brunch in their honor. Faculty and staff alike came to congra- tulate the seniors on their accomplishments and share one final goodbye. Dean Lataif, Dean Procopio, and Professor Post all shared some parting advice with the class. As a fare- well gift, each senior received a monogrammed business card holder which the Feld Career Center hopes will be filled with actual business cards very soon. Awards A number of our recently-departed seniors received awards and distinctions during graduation. We would like to acknowl- edge all of their great accomplishments. Congratulations! Despite some last-minute volcanic excitement, the class and the four chaperones made it to Ireland and started off their week getting to know the city with a Viking Splash tour.
