Research Aim The main aim of research is to measure how corporate brand of the company affects favourably on the recruitment & procedure in the GSK Sri Lanka pharmaceutical company. Research Objective To measure number of application received for brand management vacancy? Retention rate of the skilled employees in the company, especially focusing on the brand managers in the company? What factors are important to create brand name of the company & that will have positive impact on the recruitment of the new candidate? What motivates Brand Managers to looks for or consider for other companies? Is GSK Sri Lanka potentially using Exit interview procedure in order to improve employer branding?

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is one of second largest ethical company in the world. Globally it is equipped with 22,000 field force for branding & marketing aspect. (As per the data 2004). GSK has been known for its innovation & ethical stance apart from having strong marketing team. ( www.gsk.com ) GSK Sri Lanka multinational Pharmaceutical Corporation has been considered for the assignment purpose. The main product portfolio consists with antibiotic, vaccination, cough syrup & asthmatic range. Sri Lanka has been showing healthy pharmaceutical growth rate aftermath of Tamil Tiger war. As per data pharmaceutical sales forecasted to reach at £ 260 million in 2010.which is compared £180 million in 2009. In fact Currency has been strengthening & there is huge opportunity to develop business in the war torn area.(PSOSL,2010) The proposal intends to identify how GSK corporate brand name affects on the recruitment & selection procedure of the Brand mangers for the company.th argument has been justified through the literature review. Recommended methodologies were suggested. 2- Literature review Literature review provides the basis on which the justification of the research questions and builds the research design. In the mean time it informs how to collect the data and how it should be informed. In view to understand it, different literature has been used to justify the research objectives & the subject point of Corporate branding.
