The soil is classified as site class C. Consider the EW direction only for this problem (left-right in the drawings shown). Roof live load is 20 psf. Floor live load is 50 psf. Dead loads on each level (including roof) comprise the following: self-weight of 8-inch thick reinforced concrete roof and floor slabs at 150 pcf; 20 psf for HVAC and other distributed loads; exterior cladding at 15 psf; steel framing including floor beams, and tributary columns and bracing at 40 psf acting uniformly over each floor and roof area. The seismic framing system is classified as a building frame system with a steel special concentrically braced frame.
