My tone can vary greatly when I am communicating online, depending on whom I am writing to. If I am writing a note to my friends or family I may use slang, abbreviations, emoticons, or incorrect grammar. When writing to my instructor I would use formal writing, correct spelling and grammar and a respectful tone. When writing to my classmates it would be a little less formal, more laid back, but still respectful and typically with good grammar.

Unformatted text preview: It would be important when writing to my instructor or classmates to use positive terms to get my point accrossed and to never use accusatory statements. When discussing any topic online with people you do not personally know, it is important to remember that all people are different. Others could take what to you may seem inoffensive and innocent the wrong way. I believe these same basic rules apply in live conversation as well....
