2 Kids Castle is a day care and an early educational learning center. This business is trusted on a daily basis with other peoples’ most prized positions, their children. Children are a parent’s biggest worry. Parents do not trust just anybody to take care and teach their children. It is the mission of Kids Castle to provide a safe and educational environment that will help stimulate the brains of the children that attend. To complete this mission every security threat and the risk must be thought about and planed for. In addition to thinking about the threats and risk to the children, staff and even building they must also have appropriate counter measures in place to defend against these threats and risks. Defending against risks and threats is a fairly tough mission to complete. However, this is not the only things that could happen. Kids Castle should also have an emergency plan and disaster response for different situations as well. Every threat to the staff, children, and the facility must always be taken seriously, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. A suspect is unpredictable, they may call in a threat one day and act on it another day. This is where preplanning for security comes in handy. To start preplanning we need to have a list of threats, and risk assessments for each of these threats that could possible happen. This will help us to be prepared for any situations. We will do this one threat at a time. Threat number one, is a kidnapped child. The likely hood of this happening is a little higher since this is a child care facility but is still fairly rare in a small town. However, since every one of the staff is trained and the children are never out of the line of sight of one of the staff this threat is reduced to almost zero. However, this is still a very critical threat. I say this because statistics say that most abducted children are taken by a family member. This section of this same threat is also reduced because the children have to be signed out by one of the parents.

3 The only time this part of the plan is compromised is when a parent gives special permission for someone else to pick this child up and it is only valid for that one time. Permission should always be given every time someone else will be picking up the child. Threat number two, is theft of property. This threat is more likely to happen due to the
