Appendix F Security Manager Interview Directions Contact a security manager and conduct the interview listed in Part I (space has been provided for extra questions, should you ask any). Once the interview has been completed, answer the questions in Part II. Part I: Interview Questionnaire 1. Can you briefly describe your current position, its duties, and responsibilities? I am the Director of a child care center. My duties include regular administrative and budgeting duties. I am responsible for hiring, firing, preschool teachings, building maintenance. 2. What is your hiring procedure like for personnel? They fill out an application. A background check is done with the Family Care Registry. 3. Is there any type of pre-employment screening? The pre-employment screening is done by the Family Care Safety Registry. If the applicant is not registered through the state for child care they cannot qualify for the position. This would also involve having a fingerprint registered through the state. 4. What qualifications do you require of applicants? The applicant must work well with kids and they must be a very responsible individual. They have to be able to manage stress on a daily basis. 5. How extensive is the training period and process?
