SCI 230 The Scientific Method and Plants 2 The experiment at hand is why do plants tend to grow towards the light. In order find out why the plants do this then we must follow the scientific method. We must first observe and question to know why we should try to prove the question. Next we must create a hypothesis. Then we can then do the testing. After, the testing we must analyze the results and determine if the result proves our hypothesis. If it does not prove the hypothesis, then we must start over with a new question. However, if it does prove the hypothesis then we must give an explanation to our hypothesis. After we have done all this new questions may arise for further testing. The hypothesis that I have chosen to do is, what is the reason that plants grow towards windows is because they respond to light which they need to make their food. I will start with my web experiment and how the scientific method applies to it. I first used the observation and questioning and asked why plants grow towards windows. Next, I chose a hypothesis If light was placed on the other side would the plant grow that direction? The
