The Vietnam War raised many controversial issues. There were many people against the war and many people that agreed with the war. The people that were against the war protested the war. The people majority of these people that protested the war were college students. During the time of the Vietnam War there was a very high level of student unrest. There are many social and political outcomes that plagued the United States. Although there were many positive outcomes, most of these would impact the United States negatively. The Vietnam war was one of the most controversial war’s there was and this made the American people closer and also were more distant and family’s were torn apart from this war. The most major connection between student unrest and the Vietnam War involved the military draft. During the Vietnam War, every male student was required to register for one of the branches of the military. They had to do this on their eighteenth birthday. These male students would be eligible for the draft for the next two years. These men’s
