“Level 5” Leaders 3 There are distinctive qualities that distinguish a Level 5 leader from the rest. The most common qualities are: strive for sustained results, set up others for success, humility, responsibility and well organized. These next few paragraphs will describe these qualities in further detail. The first quality is that they strive for sustained results. There are many leaders who implement change and in a few months to a year things are back to the way they started. A successful Level 5 leader obtains long lasting change for their organization. They are not interested in a quick fix for a problem. Secondly, they set up their subordinates for success. They want long term results for their company and in turn put forth the effort to train their future leaders. They are more interest in the company’s success than personal accomplishment and recognition. Humility is an important aspect of a Level 5 leader as well. There is a false belief that you must
