Unformatted text preview: Yousef KashKash ENC 1101, 4817 Professor Flores October 5, 2008 Difficulty of changing ones characteristics from their own family In reading the piece entitled” The Other End of the Line” by YANNICK MURPHY we see that she didn’t have the father with perfect traits. Therefore, she felt extremely displeased to talk to her father and to tell him about the news of his son, my brother that he had killed himself. She said it was comical to contact my father, at first. She called her father to tell him about the news of his son and she got what was expected from him, but she hoped the news would change her father. It didn’t. My father left the family long ago for a career in the film business because he told everyone” He would be wonderful at making movies”. My father wasn’t payed for making movies. Therefore, my family was poor but he was living his dream. My father would spend his money over horses and betting at OTB, instead of over his wife and children. Before my dad had left the family long ago my mom wanted a regular job for him, but wife and children....
