Question 1 (33 marks) a) For the amplifier shown in Figure Q1, show how a resistive feedback network can be inserted to realize a voltage amplifier. With the aid of diagrams, compare the ideal feedback network with the non-ideal resistive feedback network and hence show how p, R, and are obtained. Choose appropriate resistor values to give a voltage gain of 100. (1 5 marks) b) Sketch the open-loop small signal equivalent circuit at mid-frequency using the approximate x model. Hence calculate the input and output resistance given the following, (9 marks) c) Given that the open loop gain is 20,000, use feedback theory to determine the closed loop gain, input resistance and output resistance.
