Week 2 COM 150 Checkpoint: The writing process The writing process I read about in this class differs from normal process that I have used in the past. It has specific steps that direct me in the process and keep my thoughts and writing organized. Previously, my writing was much more unorganized. I used to just start writing of the top of my head of course this lacks the organization that creates pieces of writing that have cohesiveness and a good sense of flow. Basically, I lacked structure. It makes it more easily delivered if it’s already planned out, and it’s just a matter of translating the outline and incomplete ideas into sentences and paragraphs. The most difficult part is deciding on what to write about. Brainstorming helps to overcome this but also what I like to call “visualization” I have to see it in my minds eye before I am able to effectively convey thru words what I “see”. These process are very time consuming therefore I need to make sure that I do not procrastinate and plan plenty of time to complete my assignments....
