Eating Healthy 2 Abstract In this paper one shall learn some of the benefits of eating healthy. How that by monitoring ones caloric intake, controlling portion size and regular exercise can help lower overall health care costs. Thesis Statement Even though not everyone is the same, eating healthy and exercising can result in lower healthcare costs for healthy eaters and people who invest their fitness.

Eating Healthy 3 Eating Healthy Eating Healthy? Every one has tried to eat healthy for one reason or another, what if I by eating healthy a person could save significant amounts of money just by changing the way they ate? That simply by maintaining a healthy caloric intake and exercising and practicing proper portion control they could significantly reduce their cholesterol counts or stave off a disease such as diabetes. One more point of interest is that according to the government website fitness.gov (2010, April 1) that 20 minutes of exercise per day can lead to stronger bone mass in women. Ever kept a diary or thought about keeping one? If so this part should be fairly easy, keep a food diary for one week. Do not worry about the calories yet, just track everything that goes in into the mouth from sun up to sun down for one week. On the seventh day review what has taken into the body and think about what has been consumed. Was that 16 ounce porterhouse steak with a loaded baked potato and vegetable medley really worth it? Onto the second part, add up just one days worth of calories. One can pick a preferred method there are several calorie websites that one can reference. My guess is that the numbers will probably range anywhere
