I will tell you one is balanced, and I believe it is; but it would not hurt to check anyway. At least one is not, and you must correct it to get the right answer. This is not a trick; it is part of being a chemist. • You will get: 1. Periodic Chart 2. Constants R, h, c, N A 3. Three equations from Chapter 7, the only ones you may need or may not need. 4. 50 questions, about which more later. • Other Advice: Look over the Solutions to Follow Up Problems in each chapter.

Mixtures as opposed to compounds. See the syllabus to be reminded about the complex ions you are expected to recognize. Two of them, at least, appear on the final. • Chapter 3: Molar masses, finding empirical formulas, balancing equations, limiting reagents, predicting amount of product, molarity in aqueous solutions. • Chapter 4: Many different types of reactions and their equations, mostly in aqueous solution.
