Searching the PDF Guides You can search across the documentation that we’ve provided in Adobe Acrobat PDF format using the Search tool . Note: The version of Adobe Acrobat Reader you receive on your ADAMS Products CD automatically installs the Search tool. You can also obtain the Search tool by visiting the Adobe Web site . While you are making selections for the version that you want to download, check the box Include option for searching PDF files (longer download) . Before you can use the search utility, you need to attach an index. To attach an index: 1 From Reader toolbar, select the Search tool . 2 Select Indexes . 3 From the Index Selection dialog box, select Add . 4 Change to the directory in which ADAMS was installed. 5 Select the directory help , and then select index.pdx . 6 Select Open , and then select OK .
