These events influenced business practices in many ways, forinstance, the increase of the internet-based news lead to a majordecline in revenue and readers, causing several newspapersto downsize and consolidate to survive and give way to online-onlyformats and some newspaper publishers even had to file bankruptcy.(C. Gaylord, 2009) Another, influence of theinternet and technological advances in printing the days of digitalmedia are here to stay; with that advancement having toorder marketing materials from mom and pop printers maybecome obsolete; digital online design and print companies, likeVista Print and Canva allows companies the opportunity to use theircreativity to design, edit, and print all marketing materials. Thedigital age of the internet lead to a major decrease insubscriptions of newspapers forcing them to step into the onlinesubscriptions for their readers, and now printers may be facing thesame feat, with competitive printing of a low cost, high-qualitymass-produced product.
