The student will learn the fundamentals of surveying through the application of reasoning, tools, techniques, and instruments. The class will provide the experience in use of basic surveying equipment including steel tape, level and total stations. The student will also be taught the use and operation of data collectors and GPS equipment. The student will be taught the procedures and methods for the measurement of distances, elevations, angles and positions. Upon completion of the course a student should be able to communicate with a professional surveyor
