Tiffany Gatewood May 3, 2009 ADV 492-Social Marketing A37330602 Spring ’09 Final Take-Home Exam There is a similar campaign to The Red Campaign, for an instance; cause-marketing would be the partnership of Yoplait's "Save Lids to Save Lives" campaign. The company packages specific products with a pink lid that consumers turn in, and in turn Yoplait donates 10 cents for each lid. The reason I state this is because it symbolizes exactly how Product Red /The Red Campaign indorses products to help save the lives of people of Africa that have been infected with the HIV/AIDS virus. With that said cause-related marketing, in my opinion is a competent strategic tool that is increasing leveraging by businesses and nonprofit organizations. Hence, with social alliances, in order to be effective, a company must partner with other organizations within the community. Also, it doesn’t necessarily have to be the same goals, but a company would want to do research on which organizations has similar goals and want the same
