Stat 4714 Fall 2010 HW 11 – Due Friday November 12 at 1:15 pm Chapters 9, 11, and 13 For problems where you are completing hypothesis tests, you must clearly list the hypotheses, test statistic, rejection region or p-value, decision, and conclusion. (1) Scroll speed is an important consideration in the development of color graphics cards. A study is conducted to compare the time, in seconds, required to scroll one screen of WORD documents using five different color graphics cards with 24-inch monitors. The data are found in hw11_graphics card. We would like to test the equality of the means of the five cards. a) Test the equality of the variances to determine if we can proceed with the ANOVA procedure. b) Conduct the test for the means. c) Identify which means are significantly different, if your response in (b) indicates a difference. (2) For an experiment where we have three treatments and four replicates, we have obtained the following sums of squares: SSTotal = 63.19, SSError =34.21. Complete the ANOVA table for this data.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
