Unformatted text preview: 3. Common-Source Amplifier (30 points) Calculate the Q-point, the terminal voltage gain A vt , the signal source voltage gain A v , the input resistance R in and the output resistance R out of the common-source amplifier shown on the right. Assume R I = 1 k , R 1 = R 2 = 2.2 M , R S = 22 k , R D = 18 k , R 3 = 470 k , K p = 400 A/V 2 , V T = 1 V, = 0.02 V-1 , V DD = 18 V. 4. SPICE Simulation (20 points) Find the Q-point and the signal source voltage gain A v of the amplifier given in problem 3 using SPICE. Please provide a plot of the circuit showing the dc currents and voltages and a plot showing the input and the output signal at 7.5 kHz as a function of time. Assume, C 1 = C 2 = C 3 = 10 F....

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
