Abstract
The discussion looks into the human resource department of Vixpop, a soft drink manufacturing,
bottling, and distribution company. The discussion entails the employee training and
development plan that the organization will use as an approach to motivate its employees. The
critical steps involved in developing the plan as well as the recommended training approaches
are part of the discussion. The discussion explains that there does not exist a universal employee
training and developed program and therefore, Vixpop has to customize its training and
development programs in accordance to its budget and employee skills gap. The different
approaches suggested for the plan are coaching, mentoring, cross training, 9-box grid, job
enhancement, job enrichment, and job rotation. It will be up to Vixpop to decide how it will
integrate and use these approaches in different cases.
Lastly, the paper also delves into the
challenges that Vixpop should expect when implementing the program and the respective
solutions.
