MAKE SURE TO WRITE IN THE DEVICE LABELS AND SYSTEM LABELS 1. (20 pts.) Using (1) 74LS85 comparator and basic logic gates, design a circuit that accepts a 4-bit unsigned number, X[3:0] and produces a 4-bit, unsigned output Y[3:0] such that Y = X, if X < 7 0, otherwise. 2. DO NOT DO THIS PROBLEM FOR FALL 2009. ( 35 pts.) Build a circuit that takes in 3 ASCII characters, A[6:0] , B[6:0] , and C[6:0] and produces a 2’s complement outpu t Z[5:0]. Inputs A and C will be ASCII characters for a decimal digit (0 - 9). B will be the A SCII character for ‘+’ or ‘ - . Refer to the ASCII table in your lecture notes for the ASCII representation
