We begin by studying linear equations and matrices. We use determinants to solve a system of linear equations with Cramers Rule. This is then generalized to vector spaces, where we study linear transformations, linearly dependent and independent sets, bases, and eigenvalues. The course concludes with orthogonality and least squares, the Gram-Schmidt process and regression lines. NOTE: The proposed schedule is subject to change depending on the needs of the class and may be adjusted depending on circumstances.
