Conflict The inevitable result of individual differences, limited resources, and differences in role definitions Any situation in which one person perceives that another person is interfering with his/her goal achievement is a conflict situation

7 Stages of a conflict Level 1: no conflict . Level 2: latent conflict . You think there may be a problem but the other person doesn t really have a clue Level 3: problems to solve . You and the other person have identified the differences in goal and want to resolve the issue. Level 4: Dispute . The conflict moves towards a destructive argument; personal attacks are made.
