Organic Search The raw results that Google and other search engines return 80-85% What you can do in the building of your website that optimizes the results standing in search pages. Begins at a website's inception; you can go in later and alter code, but savvy designers look at it from the very beginning Any search results other than sponsored links. The fact that you are regularly adding fresh content to your site will help in organic search. Site maps help SEO Make sure content is rich (information dense) Google Insight Search Engine Watch SEO = Organic Search + Paid Search o Organic search is free 80 - 85% of all clicks are on organic results How to enhance organic search: o Density rate, title tags, description tags, make sure target audience is using those same keywords to describe you, common variations, acronyms (UMD vs. University of Maryland), regionalism (sandwich vs. sub vs. hoagie), Google insights, common misspelling, press releases, blogs Keyword Phrases * most important step in the Search Engine Marketing If you bold a word it should be a keyword Create optical pattern- left to right (diagonal)--the way we read
