Steven Seage Types of Arguments 1. 1. Playing violent video games does not cause the player to act violently in real life because acting violently in real life requires a lack of morals. I play violent games, but since I have morals I do not act in violent ways. 2. All human beings have equal rights because everyone has 24 pairs of chromosomes. We are the only beings with these pairs. 3. Getting a degree in finance is better than philosophy because you make more money in finance. As Socrates did, many philosophers died poor. 4. It is wrong to eat animals because they are a part of the food chain. If one animal is taken out completely the whole ecosystem will deteriorate. 5. We have a moral obligation to pay our taxes because many welfare programs are run with that money. 6. Many commercially movies are not worth seeing because they are too focused on making money and not good film. 7. Divorce has a negative impact on children because a stable environment is necessary for kids to grow up in. 8. Women are superior to men because they can handle the pain of childbirth.
