I believe that philosophy does paint a different view of the world than religion does. In philosophy, one will attempt to rationalize the world and explain reality. Through logic we can get a better understanding of the world. In my opinion religion is irrational. I say this because there is an element of faith that, by definition believes without any proof. To say that something is beyond a doubt true without any proof is irrational. For this reason I think that religion and philosophy paint different views of the world. 3. Socrates said, “The unexamined life is not worth living”. I agree with this statement sole heartedly.
