Steven Seage Chapter Two Summary The first topic covered in Chapter 2 is logical consistency. Logical Consistency is a set of claims that have to be all be true at the same time. If something is logically inconsistent it’s a set of claims that defy reason when they are put together. EX. God loves all people. If God loves someone then he makes sure they are saved. Some people are not saved. All people who go to hell are not saved by God. The next topic spoken about is logical possibly. There are two ways of describing the possible. Causally possible is when something does not violate the laws of nature. Also there are logically possible. If something is logically possible then it is said to have no contradictions. The next section refers to definitions. There are two ways that things can be defined. The first way is lexically. This is the definition from the dictionary, which explains words in context to the culture. The next kind of definition is a philosophical question. These questions go much deeper and ask questions about what words really
