I skimmed through the chapter preface, all titles and headings, colored and highlighted print, illustrations, tables and figures, skill exercises, summary, and review questions. Question What questions did you ask? How can I increase my reading speed and comprehension? What is my reading strategy? How can I build my vocabulary? Read How did you read? I read one section at a time, identifying main ideas and paragraph topics. I understood the material under each heading before moving on to the next. I took notes while reading and paid attention to information that helped answers my previous questions. Recite What did you recite? I can increase my reading speed by analyzing word parts, using a dictionary, familiarizing myself with common prefixes, roots, and word suffixes. I can improve my comprehension by using the SQ3R reading strategy, reviewing material multiple times,
