Course url: https://elearning.uky.edu/ Office: 335F BE (Gatton Business & Economics Building) Office Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays (3 - 4 pm) and by appointment Class meeting date, time, and places: Monday - Thursday, 4:40 pm - 6 pm, BE 205, January 10 through March 3 Prerequisite: Acc324 or equivalent course. Part 1 – Mission and Values Teaching Mission: My teaching mission is to provide a fun, supportive, respectful environment that: a. facilitates student (primarily) and teacher (secondarily) learning, and, b. improves student (primarily) and teacher (secondarily) success as employees, significant others / spouses, parents, citizens, and friends. Class Roles, Values & Responsibilities: As your teacher, I have a responsibility to treat you respectfully, including respecting that you have a non-academic life prepare & deliver materials (e.g., assignments, cases, discussions) that contribute to (but don’t create) learning, point out problems & errors that will improve your success acknowledge & celebrate your successes make the classroom a safe and fun learning environment model the excitement, rewards and frustrations of learning in the classroom and life-long be self-aware but not self-conscious engage in behavior that is consistent with the UK Faculty Handbook avoid personal attacks or statements that denigrate another based on their race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, age, national/regional origin or other such irrelevant factors.
