Predict the bond angles about the central atom (including any distortions away from ideal values) and give the name of the resulting geometry. Note: in each formula the central atom is the first atom given. a. [NO 2 ] + b. XeF 4 c. TeCl 2 (CH 3 ) 2 d. SbCl 5 e. IF 5 f. ClNO g. [XeF 3 ] + h. XeO 4 2) (8 pts) When SbCl 3 and GaCl 3 are mixed in a one-to-one molar ratio in liquid sulfur dioxide, an ionic solid with empirical formula GaSbCl 6 can be isolated. It is unclear whether the best formulation is [SbCl 2 ] + [GaCl 4 ] - or [GaCl 2 ] + [SbCl 4 ] - . It is known, however, that the cation has a bent structure. On the basis of the predicted structures of both cations, which formulation is more likely to be correct and what structures should each of the possible anions have? 3) (8 pts)
