ENGL 302 Sustainability Research Sources       *Can economic development be sustained for women in Zimbabwe with the current social-economic obstacles?     I am interested in this matter because I enjoy learning about social-economic factors that affect economic growth  in communities or countries. As an economic student I learn about the main economic principles and factors that  are in action for economic growth but sometimes specific social and government issues are left out. In the case  of Zimbabwe, I decided to focus on women especially, how they have been affected by Zimbabwe’s economic  crises, and social instability. I will consider different aspects that also affect women in Zimbabwe’s economic  development such as human rights violations. I will research sources from several sources such as International  Monetary Fund, World Bank, Amnesty International, and research databases. I hope to learn that there are  some improvements in the status of women in Zimbabwe and what is being done to help continue to sustain  their economic development.      NOTES: Find out obtacles stopping Zim women economic growth, increases per capita, and attainment of a  standard of living equivalent to industrialized countries.  **NOTES: Economic development typically involves improvements in a variety of indicators such as literacy  rates, life expectancy, and poverty rates.  1.  http://www.ifc.org/ifcext/sustainability.nsf/Content/Gender_News-January2010Glo   IFC International Finance Corporation-Economic sustainability for women in Zimbabwe
