1 AMMIS Group Assignment Black Rabbit Ticket System Case Description An event agency, ‘ Black Rabbit ’ , wants you to build a ticketing system. This system will be used to provide electronic services for the clients of the agency. The clients of ‘ Black Rabbit ’ are other companies that want to organize festivities for any kind of guest, such as: their customers, business partners, etc. In general people can be invited in the following way. First, they will receive an email with an e-ticket. Next, they have to print this e-ticket (PDF) that contains an identifier (e.g. a barcode, QR- code, …) that will be scanned at the event of Black Rabbit’s customer. The identifier on the ticket discourages counterfeit. Finally, they might receive a wristband or a badge. Clients use Black Rabbit ’s services to organize an event. First, the client will ask Black Rabbit to organize an event and to come up with a name. At the same time, the duration of the event has to be determined. Keep in mind that these events can be held for multiple days. Next, the event will be assigned an event manager. The event manager is a Black Rabbit employee and is responsible for organizing the event. Example of an E-Ticket It is also possible that an event needs a website. A website contains information about the event and is developed by a freelance web designer (commissioned by Black Rabbit). It is the event manager’s responsibility to contract the right web designer, taking into account budgetary constraints set in agreement with the customer. The website will be used for the invitation and registration process. More precisely, through a personalized link in the invitation mail, it presents the attendee of the event some general information and the status of his or her e-tickets. The page contains the event name, date and the name of the person. In addition, it also provides the possibility to generate their e-tickets. The invitation mail specifies the price (if not free), whether the invitee is allowed to invite a predefined number of ‘ plus ones ’ , and the extra fee for those ‘ plus ones ’ . A ‘ plus one ’ is a person that is invited by the attendee (e.g.: his/her partner or kids).The invitee can fil in the email addresses of his or her ‘ plus ones ’ through the website. He or she can also see the status of the invitees. Furthermore, the website also contains a welcome text and has a certain style. There can be multiple proposed websites for an event but there can only be one approved and active website.
