This seems true because there is a young man who looks to be about 21 years old in uniform. Another audience to this poster is the families of young men eligible for service because they may want to see their son look that confident and mature one day. It could be a mother and father wanting their son to make something of himself or make a name for himself or for him to travel the world and see things through his own eyes. It could also be a girlfriend or best friend wanting the man to be able to provide for a future family. The genre of this poster include persuasive, poster format, and appeal. The poster is presented as persuasive because it is trying to reach out to young men and to persuade them that anyone can get a good experience out of the submarine service.
