Since there was only one computer, we tried the MS Excel tutorial individually yet together, and our individual results did not differ from our other group members. 2.) The independent variable is the days of growth because this does not depend on the height of the plant and is also a measure of time. 3.) The dependent variable is the height of the plant in centimeters because it is dependent upon the independent variable, and the height of the plant varies with changing time. 4.) The difference between a smooth line and a trend line is that a smooth line has connecting points showing the curve and direction of the graph whereas the trend line shows the correlation between the growth of the plant in centimeters and time. 5.) An appropriate y-intercept value is (0, 0). 6.) An appropriate trend line for the plant growth is a linear regression because it shows the linear positive slope of the plant growth and it determines the linear correlation coefficient....
