Global sustainability is the ability “to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs” In regards to the examples, the important thing is not so much the answer as the extent to which the student demonstrates thought in providing the answer. 2. How do the concerns of a primary stakeholder differ from those of a secondary stakeholder? Primary stakeholder groups are the constituents on whom the firm relies for its continuous survival and prosperity and their survival is dependent on the firm’s survival. Secondary stakeholder groups : those who influence or affect, or are influenced or affected by, the corporation, but they are not engaged in transactions with the corporation and are not essential for its survival. It is possible that the secondary stakeholders may have concerns (for example, the environment) that could best be met if the firm did not continue to survive. 3.
