Group Letter to Your Business Once your group has selected a business and made an initial contact with a representative who agrees to work with you, the next step is to collaboratively write a brief but professional letter to confirm this agreement. Your letter should be concise, clearly expressing your purpose and explaining your expectations. This reflects well on you, demonstrating your serious commitment to your project and the company. Each group member should have some input into the composition of the letter, and each one should review the final copy before sending it to the business contact. In addition, a copy of my business letter on GMU letterhead should accompany your letter (which should not be on letterhead, since you aren’t employed by the university). Required Format: Use block format (no paragraph indentations; align all paragraphs on the left margin. Use the following content: Date: (Month (spelled out) and date, (comma) then year.
