Shashank Gupta Professor Jones Extra Credit: Dog Sees God 12/02/09 Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead The play for me started off with chaos and confusion. I had no idea why all the actors were dancing and singing, but as the play moved on I understood the importance of the actors’ actions. They were doing that so they could move the set around and also to set the tone and mood of the next scene. Even though the setting of the theater was that of a proscenium, it felt more like a thrust because the theater was so small and the actors were very close and intimate with the audience. I believe the Scenic, Light, and Costume design for the play were great. It definitely felt the stage was a playground for the actors, where actors were able to move around comfortably. Also, I thought that the boxes that were used for various things on stage were used very creatively. I think the costume designer did a fantastic job with the costumes. Small elements like CB having a backpack the entire time made a difference and kept on reminding the audience
