Study Guide for Midterm 2 March 31,2010 12:00- 1:30pm Introduction to HR Management Professor Frank Paparella The 2 nd midterm examination will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions plus 3 multiple choice bonus questions. The test will cover chapters 6-9 and ach question is worth two points. The equivalent letter grade will be calculated as described in the syllabus. You will have the entire class period to complete the examination. There are a number of “key terms” at the end of each chapter that are worth knowing. Understand both the definition as well as its application/usage. Chapter 6 Recruitment. Following are some key areas of focus, you should know/understand: the purpose of Recruitment, see margin page 150, advantages and disadvantages of internal recruitment, culture and recruitment the purpose, advantages, benefits and drawbacks of different recruitment methods, specifically advertising, job posting, on-line, employee referrals
